Sometimes problems are hard to solve. Sometimes problems become unsolvable. I used to think the pyramid cube and Rubix cube were unsolvable. Linda of the Litebeing Chronicles asked me to be part of her cosmic retrograde challenge. The challenge was to pull out an old object from long ago and just let it be near you for a few weeks. At the end of that time, we could write about what came up for us–whatever that may be. I chose my pyramid cube. I had this toy since… um … a long time. This … [Read more...] about Remembering Childhood Memories Through a Favorite Toy: A Cosmic Retrograde Challenge
My daughter does. She dared me to write "Pasta" repeatedly in a blog post. I took her dare. Which reminds me of a photo I took one day when my daughter was getting ready to eat pasta. She poured a lot of Parmesan cheese on her pasta and a large clump came out shaped like a heart. That was a cool day. We both do love pasta. Pasta. Pasta. Pasta. Pasta pasta pasta pasta, pasta pasta pasta. Pasta? Pasta, pasta. Pasta. Pasta. Pasta pasta. Pasta. Pasta pasta, pasta pasta pasta. Pasta? Pasta, … [Read more...] about Do You Love Pasta?
A month ago, my daughter had a large group of young tween girlfriends at our house for a sleepover. I left them to chat and run around and have fun. I lived to be around … [Read more...] about Have You Been Someone Famous in a Past Life?

The animals of the world are (for the most part) meant to remind us of unconditional love—especially domesticated animals. Unique and beautiful animals are awesome to watch and admire. There are so many species in the world. Some are microscopic, some are larger than a building. There is such diversity, making our world special. (I love them all except for spiders ... I am known to squish them. The basis of … [Read more...] about Love All Creatures Great and Small on Land and in the Waters ~ Messages From the Mural
In this portion of the school mural, I painted this scene as a dedication to my son. He is practicing a random act of kindness. My son is a sweet soul, so it is fitting for him. I like how the gold paint gives the wings a little bit of shimmer. I really prefer oil paint, but painting this mural helped me garner a better understanding and appreciation for acrylics. It was a lot of fun to mix and blend the colors. Sears donated a pallet of random discontinued house paint. Lowe's also provided a … [Read more...] about Random Acts of Kindness … Messages From the Mural
