Love all creatures great and small on land and in the waters. I really believe that.
The animals of the world are (for the most part) meant to remind us of unconditional love—especially domesticated animals. Unique and beautiful animals are awesome to watch and admire. There are so many species in the world. Some are microscopic, some are larger than a building. There is such diversity, making our world special.
(I love them all except for spiders … I am known to squish them. The basis of my fear of spiders stems from my past life as Howard.)
This “fish” bowl is one section of the wall from the Science Fun mural.
I had a dream about this idea and could not wait to add it to the wall. I think it is funny—the irony of the large ocean dwellers in a small fish bowl. These ocean fish are obviously not to scale, making it more fun.
The Portuguese Man-O-War jelly fish was chosen by one student and the rendition of Patrick (of Sponge Bob fame) as a sea star was at the insistence of another student. Their input made the project fun!
It took me several weeks to draw and paint this fish bowl. It is one of my favorite sections of the mural.
