I recently read a question, does it matter if you have socks and shoes on to ground yourself? I think this is a great question. It goes along with the rules to sit up straight in lotus position to meditate. Is it really necessary?
I believe that the metaphysical things we can do to help us, whether it is mediation, grounding, chakra clearing, etc. does not really need any “extra” things/protocol/rules.
Sometimes I say, “Geesh, it doesn’t have to be so hard.”
I really feel our INTENT is the most important factor. If you believe that you can ground yourself by standing in your living room (while it is snowing outside, for example… too cold or what if you lived in a large city… no grass, just concrete), then why not?
I think of of the tenet: <<Thoughts become things.>>
Your intent is the key. The mind is soooo strong.
If you close your eyes and visualize the beach all around you as you ground yourself or meditate. It can really feel as though you are at the beach. So then, what is the difference?
Furthermore, everything in our entire universe, including us, is made from energy. We are all one. So, when we stand/sit/whatever in our socks and shoes, we are ultimately connecting with the universe. If the intent is there and the belief is there, so it will … be.
What is your intent today?
